Default Remove CA

Sorry to post a basic question but I searched and could not find any submissions on this. Maybe I also need help on how to search?

I am building a 1/8 Corsair kit and while gluing the fin I placed the LE on the wrong side. What's the best way to unglue thin CA?

Thanks in advance.

You can buy debonder at your local hobby shop. It works okay.

Just be sure to clean the wood well before trying to apply CA again.

Thanks everyone for your replies - I'll try the acetone. This forum is the greatest!

Hope you all have a great day...

The better fingernail polish removers have other oils and stuff in them that you dont want left on your wood. However, I did find that the super cheapo ones sometimes are almost pure acetone.

I would use acetone or MEK simply because it's useful stuff around the shop anyway. I doubt fingernail polish is cheaper unless you're comparing buying a 4 oz bottle of remover to a gallon of acetone which is less than $10.00 around here.

PS. MEK is a carcinogen in California. Use at your own risk.

Yeah, I´ve always stayed away from California for that reason. It seems like everything cause cancer there, it must have to do with all that sun.[8D]
