Default first plane

I would not buy that plane!!! I had a megatech Capitol Flyer, which is almost the same as the megatech skyliner. They are no planes, they look like planes but they do not fly well or at all. I returned the Megatech plane and got a real trainer. I got the Hobbico Superstar 40. It is the best plane to lear (with an instructor of course). I also got the G2 flight simulator. I helped tremendously!!!

Good luck

Default new trainer

Recently a beginner showed at our field with a brand new Horizon Alpha ARF. He clearly was new and needed assistance which was given. After minor trim adjustments on the flying surfaces and servo centering, etc. I flew the plane for its first flight, it took one click on the right airlaron to fly hands off. The new "E" motor ran flawlessly. We set up a buddybox and this beginner was doing takeoffs and landings the second day out. He was going to go it alone when we first contacted him, he clearly would not have accomlpished this on his own. I can't say enough good about this new plane, it is simple and easy to fly. It should be fairly responsive with the controls set up further. It is basically about as simple to operate as any trainer could be, which is what a trainer is all about.

Default first plane

I have the Hobbico Superstar 40. I love it! It costs 295.00 at Tower Hobbies and is very easy to put together. It can make anyone look like a pro. I got my solo license (fly at state park and is mandatory) on my third day of flying. I have flight sim time but I credit the incredulous looks I get on my flying (could do loops, stalls and barrell rolls on the second day of flying) to the plane. It is extremely forgiving and very sturdy.

I give it 5 stars.

Robert
