Pretty good list
Go to the following link. There are 2 checklists there that cover this for both at home and the field and are in PDF and Word Documents formats

Thaks newb,
that list gets rough 100 hits every month and it is NOT in the links for the site, just here on RCU
Actually that list was done mainly by piper_chuck and myself, more piper_check though and input from everyone else here on RCU.
If you see that something needs to be added just PM me and I'll update it.

newb,
From your list and the other list. I cannot think of anything that you may be forgetting except to have fun. I am going to take some of what you posted and add it to the home checklist Iand repost it. I'll post here when it's done
I hope to have good weather tomorrow. I have 2 planes I need to maiden and 1 to test a new muffler with. We have had a lot of snow lately so I am jealous that you can go fly

Looks good. Make sure you've got rubber bands and all that for your wings. Also, you probably already have it in your flight box, but remember to take shop towels or something to wipe the glow slime off your wings and fuse. And extend transmitter antenna!!! LOL

grant, I WILL make sure that my instructor does that. lol. I have a rag and 2 pig pieces of foam. I was gonna put one thin piece on the back so i dont hurt the fuse if there are any deadsticks as they can be rough. I don't own any extra glowplugs, but hopefully mine won't go out. I really need to go to the LHS and buy a couple of glowplugs and a prop and a box of rubber bands... But that can be during the next week or even after my mom closes on her next house (i am flat broke)

I never though of rubber bands for the lists. I will not add them as there is space for them to be written in. Customize the lists anyway you wish. If you want send me your customized list and I'll add them to a seperate folder on the web site. That way you can alwaysget to them as long as you have internet access
Maybe we can get others to send me theirs for warbirds, trainers, boats, cars, etc.. and I can seperate them into sub folders

newb,
Don't worry about the checklists for the Cessna, It's a nice idea but really does not apply here. I also flew full scale for 16 years and did skywriting for 8 of that so I do have those types of checklists. Thanks anyways and good luck and good night.

bubba i lied i am going to ask a few more questions be fore i sleep.
I asked this in another thread, but does blowdrying the covering get wrinkles out?
also,
I guess we will check the plane tommrow so i won't ask more. Oh, I got one
Why do you use #64 rubberbands?
Oh and we are going to the same spot, but luckily we are going early sunday morning when there should be no cars for about 2 hours atleast. Probably longer. Its gonna be a blazing 65 degrees. I am ready though. One last check of the wind and i will be ready to go
anyways...

I'm tellin your mommy
J/K !!!If you use the normal hair dryer then it will take forever as it really does not get hot enough to act quickly although it can be done. Most hobby shops have heat guns for around 20 bucks
As far as #64 rubber bands and I am guessing here is because they are wider and stronger than the normal everyday rubberbands but as I said I am sure sure of the actual reasoning, just a guess.
I would love to see 60+ degrees. The warmest it's been here is 50 degrees and that was a month ago for one or two days.
It's been anywhere from 5 above to 40 above here with a high tomorrow of 45 but 30mph winds...Oh well
