I've flown the LT40. Great plane for learning. It has a larger wing and can fly a little slower. Many others have successflully learned on the Alpha. I don't think you would go wrong with either. "Who's got the best deal?" is a better question in my opinion. Since I have never built either, more qualified opinions will follow.

ok thanks i am probably going to get the sig i like it beter but it is a little more exspensiv then the alpha trainer 40 but my uncle saidthe sig is beter it is the plane he trained on he is a exilent pilote thanks for the info

what kinds of planes do you fly i like seaplanes and war planes my favorite plane is the p51 mustang i spelled somthing wrong in that last statment

Warbirds and Scale aerobatic planes float my boat the most. But I have a blast with toss-around fun fly's like my Pizazz as well. Just getting into larger gas planes after flying Glow for 17 years. Whoo Hooo
