Zurichs are expensive. From the ones I've seen, they are also BIG looking! Don't wanna look like an 80 year old blue hair with these things on!!!

Have you seen the nasty looking glasses that blind people wear? And that cane really sucks too. Sorry for not being PC.
In other words "How much are your eyes worth to you"? I need mine to earn my living every day and never go outside (daytime) without a pair of sunglasses of some sort. This is also under recommendation of my Opthalmologist, even if there is cloud cover. They're your eyes, protect them or damage them, your choice.

Zurich has introduced a new, more " stylish " frame shape. If I were about to buy my first pair I`d check them out. As it is, I have two pair of the originals and will continue to wear those.

Grow long hair to keep the sun out!

Although... I doubt that will help with the "Don't want a Red Neck Look"
HAHAHAHA
Sorry for the loss... I lost my Airplane in the Sun over my head a little while back... Yes I know I should not have had it over my head...
Enough altitude to get away with it though...

Yep. good ol' Murphy get even the best of us sometimes.
that's why I always recommend sunglasses AND a hat with a brim (Note to some of you younger folks out there that don't know any better: The brim is supposed to face the FRONT to keep the sun out of your eyes!)

I assume the NEXstar was purchased more than 60 days prior to your unfortunate mishap. If within 60 days of purchase, and you have not soloed - Hobbico will replace the broken NEXstar. Read the warranty section of the instruction book and the sun may shine on you again.
I know this works as my NEXstar suffered a similar fate. I sent the plane, along with a letter from me and my instructor describing what happen, to Hobbico. They relocated all of the electronics and engine into a new fuselage. It took a couple of weeks turnaround and they even included new tail feathers. This warranty replacement is like skydiving without a parachute - you can only do it once.
