RE: flight logging
I use a program called Flight Log. You can download it at

This program goes way beyond just logging your flights. It is a database that will track everything you do with this hobby. I've used to catalog everything I have for insurance reporting.
Logging your flying time is a nice feature. It shows you how much time you've had in the air. So far for 2005 I've got just over 7 hours of air time.
Check it out.

I also use Flight Log. It's a great program and it's free. The owner keeps it up to date and there is a forum for questions and suggested enhancements.
I have used it since Jun 04.
Just last night I checked and last year I had 103 hrs flying time total on all my aircraft from June 04 until dec 31, plus I was able to pull up each plane and see when I flew it, how much I flew it, where I flew it, how much fuel it used, how much time on the engine and any other items I carded to create.
I highly recommend it.

RE: flight logging
I use a very simple excel spreadsheet. It lists all my planes, date last flown, how many flights, total flights for plane, and a comment area.
I also keep a listing of what plane is on what transmitter since I use a hitec and a futaba. Thinking of adding an area where I can keep track of how many times a lipoly battery flight pack is used.
