With MinnFlyer I have to ask "What type of hinges?" I assume they aren't the removable pin type or you would have done that by now... If they have a non-removable metal pin, and it is CA that is causing it... Join the club! I think every builder out there has done the same thing at least one time, which is the reason for "CA" hinges.

On to the problem: Tried the debonder (which might weaken the glue holding the hinge in place) and WD-40 and neither worked...

You might be at the point of removing the hinges and starting over, but first I would check for binding in the control system. With the servo horn removed from the servo does the aileron move freely? I checked out the Hobbico site and saw that the SB has a "rod in tube" control system. This is the worse kind to get CA in as it is all but imposable to clean out of the tube. To check this, with the aileron unhooked from the servo, try to move it by hand. If you hold it near the tip and it twists when you try to move it, it might be the control rod (or the hinge closest to it).

If not, check the aileron to see that it isn’t rubbing, or hanging up on the wing. Next step is to make sure the hinge pins are lined up, it's amazing how much binding that can cause. If all of this checks out it might be time to cut out the hinges and start over... or live with the dragging aileron and the possibility of crashing caused by servo or battery break down...

But first I would try to remove the pin on the binding hinge, by cutting off the head with a very sharp/strong pair of diagonal pliers. You can replace the pin with an "L" shaped piece of piano wire by imbedding the short end in a small notch cut in the wing after inserting the pin in the hinge.

Good luck

thanks for the replys, i think i described it wrong, i think its binding in the aileron bering thats glued to the trailing edge...i might just saw it off and start over . the monsoon season started here so i will have the time, i tried to drizzle the debonder into the bearing
is what i menat in my earlier description. thankls BH
