Trainer rebuild

Ive been thinking about rebuilding my 40 trainer (skyward 40). i have recently got new sailplane and need a strong tower.
what do you guys think about a saito 100 in the nose?

I think that's going to be just a little too much motor for that frame to handle. You're going to have to put a bunch of weight in the tail to balance it. Since it's an ARF you don't really know how well constructed it is. I'm sure there are going to be some weak spots in the frame. The firewall is going to need braced and strengthened, and I'm sure there are going to be more weak spots that will need beefed up. I wouldn't recommend that big of a motor for that trainer.

hmm... but if i fly smothly, the extra power and weight wont be a problem? ony full throttle straight forward. the wing cant get too stressed of just that?? also, i can adjust the end points so the airframe wont be overstressed.
ive tried to tow with the OS40 2stroker, but its a bit dangerus since the engine barley can tow the trainer + the sailplane.

Almost anything can be made to work -- but not necessarily work well. Unless you have an overwhelming need to do this, I suggest that you seek a more suitable airframe.
