Default OS 40 FP Prop shaft

How can I put a nylon prop and spinner on OS 40 FP? Prop nut only screws on about half way. Prop shaft too short.

You can buy spinners from Tower Hobbies, that have aluminum backplates -- these are thin enough to fit your engine. Another alternative is to use a thinner washer under the prop nut.

Big Bad Bob...The prop shaft on my FP-40 is about 1 inch long from the drive washer and all my spinners fit. If your's is shorter, you can get a new shaft.

Bob,
Is there any way you can post a picture of your problem? It would make it easier to figure out your problem. I have an OS FP 40 also and have never had any problems getting a prop and spinner on it.

This is supposed to be the crank for your engine if I looked it up right. Included are the specs for you to compare to yours.

From there you can make some decisions.

Hi!
What you do is to have someone make you a spinner aluminum nut with a flange that protrudes into the prop, that way it centers the prop and you can tighten the prop firmly.
I allways use these prop nuts on my sport airplanes.
I can make one for you in any shape you like.
Regards!
