If it jitters when you turn it on the it may be a TX problem.
Make sure your crystal is fully seated and the battery is charged

You may be so close that your transmitter is "swamping" the receiver(just too much signal). Back away a few feet (maybe 5) and see if that helps. I'm assuming the antenna is fully up and not physically touching any part of the plane or rx antenna. Your rx antenna is fully deployed and not coiled or wadded up somewhere in the plane.

Has this radio ever worked or is it new to you? Make sure rx crystal is same channel as tx is marked. Are you transmitting in proper mode? PPM or PCM
Are the radios new or used and if used are Tx and Rx the same brand?

Sounds like the TX is in PCM mode with a PPM receiver! Alot of computer radios can do both, but are shipped with the cheaper PPM receiver. Your post is kinda vague. Without more details.....

A couple of us made the right guess. All that counts is that it works and the repair was FREE. Now get it all together and get to flying it. My guess is that you are new at this so be sure to get an instructor. Join a club too and meet a bunch of new friends.

And before you feel too bad, I was pulling my hair out two weeks ago with the same problem. That's why it jumped out at me. Four years in the hobby and still making booboo's.
