Default RE: servo question

I use standard servos in my .25 size planes, except sometimes I use a mini on the throttle. When I drop down to .15 size planes I switch to mini servos to save weight. All of the .25 size planes I've seen have servo trays setup for standard size servos. I would definitely not use a micro, even on the throttle. I've heard several reports of micros failing due to the vibrations.

A lot of the choice comes from the amount of space you have inside of a plane and how strong of servos you need. If you have the space and can stand the extra weight go with standard size, if not use micros. Just make sure that if you use micro servos that they meet your torque requirements.

I have had 2 10 sized Lanier Shrikes and I used standard servos in both of them.

Hope this helps
