Default Motors & Capacitors

I recently bough 4 tamiya high torque gearboxes for a project I'm working on. However the motors that were provided did not come with any capacitors. I want to solder the caps on myself but I do not know the proper values of capacitors required. I know a lot about electronics so all I need is the cap values or their ranges.

Thanks,

A capacitor should be soldered from each motor terminal to the motor case (or ground). A third one goes across the 2 motor terminals. Use a capacitor value of around 0.01uF (this is the most common value mentioned by most of the discussions on interference problems I have seen.)

p.s. - a quick search thru this and other forums for the subject "capacitor" will produce an astounding number of hits. All pretty interesting.

Anywhere from .01 to .1 uF ceramic. .047 is about the most used value and the ceramic type is important.
