Default Glow plug question

Really a simple question. When i put power to my glow plug i accidently put 12v instead of 1.2 v. So the glow plug blew. The glow plug was inside my engine, can that hurt my engine. Also the glow plug seemed to stil have inner coils, jus *** was a little chared. Thanks

Stunner,
12v will definitely make toast of your glow plug. But don't worry, that won't damage your engine in any way. Just chock it up as an experience excersize.

The coils ALL heated up instantly until the weakest part overloaded and burned thru. At that point the remainder just cooled back down. There should be no debris from this in the motor.
