Default quick charging hitec optic 6

I have a hobbico fileld charger and need to know if the polarity is the same on the plug for the hitec as the futaba I have it set up for. I know JR is reverse of futaba and I have to switch the leads around and don't want to smoke my new radio. So I guess the question is. Is it the same as JR or the same as Futaba? THANKS FOR REPLIES

Hitec is the same as Futaba. Center pole is positive.

As mentioned JR is the only one using a centerpin negative on their Tx charge jacks. However the inside, outside diameters on the tx jacks of the Futaba and hitec are not the same. The real problem here is using the fast charger through the TX jack will not allow the peak detecting circuits of the charger to function. The Hitec battery is easily removed to charge on a fast charger.
