We built six of these with fifth and six grade kids in the local Gear-up program. Didn't find any of the problems that are described. Our's also have OS .46 AX's in them. They balanced perfect (upside down) with the battery just behind the former in the wing compartment. All fly perfectly.

Uffda...I just finished up my Tiger 2 ARF...yep...there were some problems. I had to drill out the wheels to fit the axles. The main gear point toward the back instead of the front...perhaps that's correct because I haven't seen a pic of the Tiger 2 ARF. I also needed to drill out the holes for the main gear.
I haven't balanced it yet. The factory really chose an interesting/dumb location for the servos...right under the wing bolt area. I figured there was no way I could screw in servos at that spot so I moved the servos toward the middle.
I built/flew a Sky Tiger with a Fox 50 in the early 90s...an outstanding bird back then.
I hope to get it airborne this weekend if it doesn't snow up here in central MN.

I agree that it needs to be balanced inverted. I just completed the kit 3 days ago and I only needed 2 oz in the noze to balance it out and that's with a balsa cowl, wheel pants, flying wires, tail dragger, etc (too many other extras to count). I've got the pics to prove it. The only con I could say is that the quality of the balsa and plywood in my kit was sub-par, but the way it flies far makes up for it. I've got a 46 AX pulling it and man it hauls a@#. Sorry about your experience.

yes the plane was balances inverted. Good looking tiger BTW. Interesting color scheme. Should be easy to see. I'm sure this one will fly great. Just a little disgusted with way it went together. Was too windy and I was too busy to fly it last wkend hopefully this wkend it will maiden
