Ah yesss! Those beautiful blustery days in Elk City. Idling with the wind going 45 mph, turning into the wind and firewalling to get ummmmm maybe 10mph! nothin like Harrier landing a Kadet LT 40! But a beautiful field ya got in Elk City. I WILL eventually get my Ultimate aka: Pepe' out there and fly with ya. Perhaps some formation Ultimate flights. Yeah Im in!

Oh Derek, there was one thing I could have done, that I have since started practicing. Your on approach into a stiff wind, as you are anywhere from 3 to 10 feet off runway at landing idle, the wind dies,,,firewall and pull full up. With a 3D plane, it goes straight up and into the soft air, instead of the hard ground,,,,,,,course thats just me. Too bad I hadnt thought about that the other day. But it only took 1 to fix.
