All very good points. I have already contacted a new instructor to help me work the bugs out of my flying. Just as soon as I am not busy with school we will be hitting the airport.

I have RealFlight G2, not the lite version and there is a way to do this within that version. It's been a while sense I've used it, but if I remember correctly, what you want to do is open the View menu and select the 'From Ground' (or something like that) option. With this option, the pilot stays in one place and the plane moves out and back. You can normally see the horizon with this option.
