The good thing about winter time is that not many people come to the field, so you usually have the entire flying field (and the air above it
) for yourself. so the last few weeks, me and my trainer started practicing on Landing.
And today I did it (twice
) Even with some small side wind I was able to safely take off, fly some circuits and put my baby on the ground. hurray for me ^^
(for the record: I've been flying for 1 year now, no simulator, on my second trainer (crashed the first one) and have about 20-25 flights on my name -> they said I was a natural ... lol)
Hope I can get one of those famous RCU ATTABOYS now ... (but please make it out to Albijn V.d.A. instead of Prophex (that's my real name))
thx everyone for all the help you gave me in the past year,

congrats on the solo. I think it was your video I saw of your first flight (crash). Didn't go well glad you made it. Great feeling doing a solo isn't it? If it wasn't your video I'm sorry I got mistaken

Congrats on the solo flight. It's a great feeling when you finally do it, so I know that you're probably walking on air right about now. And I'm willing to bet that you have that silly little smile on your face still don't you?? Don't worry about it, I had the same smile for about 3 weeks when I soloed.
A solo flight is a great accomplishment and that wins you one genuine RCU ATTABOY (Suitable for framing, wrapping fish, or lining trashcans).
Good Job

Congrats! Now, though, your real training begins. Keep up doing the touch-and-go's, landing practice, TAKE OFF practice (everyone seems to just practice landing but taxi and take off straight is a part of it and can be an important part of your post solo training) and do some practice dead-sticks. Go high, try to go downwind somewhere but not to far away, and just pull the throttle to idle and get it into a good landing approach position, glide to about 2 to 3 meters above ground then go to full throttle and to it again, this time from a different position, perhaps upwind. Get used to that and you will be in a good position to save that aircraft should the engine go dead-stick on you.
Again, congratulations on your Solo, I know the feeling!!! BUT keep up the training.
