I'm planning to buy this simulator, but I just saw that it requireds an 3d video card, like Gforce, or something like that, the things is that I just bougth my laptop and is a Dell Latitude D610, the only thing that I don't know about the computer is the video card, well. I just download the demo that the website provides, and it looks awesome in my computer.
Now my question is?? if I buy the simulator should look exactly as the demo? or I'm wrong and the demo is like general so everybody is able to watched in their computers, thanks a lot guys, and again the demo looks awesome in my computer, like the pictures in the website

Your fine. I'm typing this on a Latitude D610 & I have over 100 hours on G3 on this laptop.
I also turned off some of the effects such as shadow's & clouds to help speed it up.
Some of the guys who work for me have the D600's that have older video cards & it works on them too but the refresh rate goes down a bit and they have to turn off almost all of the effects.

Most lap top's video cards are not as good as what the RF requires. Your video will be lacking some of the features that the simulator offers.
enjoy,
Jim

Once you get the G3 installed, go to the GreatPlanes website and look for the KnifeEdge link. Download their latest program update and you'll get better fps.
You also get lots better fps when you fly at the photoreal flying sites. It's quite a significant difference.

I'm not very familiar with Heli's but there's a list of all the planes included on their web site: http://www.realflight.com/aircraftcatalog/index.html

G3 comes with a number of planes and heli's but there is no Blade CP or electric heli for that matter. There is a .30 glow sized heli trainer with training "wheels" on it.
The P-51D in G3 is a giant scale plane and flies much heavier than a 40 or 60 size glow plane. With mods you can get it to fly differently - some guys have some different mods out on the internet for different planes.

You know, another GREAT sim is called RC Planemaster (http://www.realitycraft.com/RCPlaneM...ane_master.htm)
They have a free demo if you are interested....

I haven't seen all the planes that come on the G3 simulator yet, but I would doubt that the P-51 PTS (trainer P-51) would be on there. Realflight is a product of Great Planes and they usually only put Hobbico/Great Planes planes in that simulator. The P-51 PTS is from Hanger 9. I could be wrong, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Then that plane will be available to pick from your custom planes.
I didn't do a lot of tweaking on them other than making some of them bigger & swapping out engines & props.
