Through my not being exactly precise in every word I said in my first post on this thread, I was misinterpreted by Piper Chuck. I never, NEVER meant for RJM1982 to fly anywhere without permission, or without following the rules of the local or National Organizations! For the life of me, I don't see how I could have been misinterpreted like I was. Be that as it may, it happened!
I have only wanted to help people get started in this wonderful hobby. I have devoted considerably more time then I probably should have in this endeavor, here on R/CUniverse! It surprises me how quickly what I say can be set against me!

I sent you a PM, echoing that sentiment.

Mode ... just put it in context..
Re-reading your message, I see what you MEANT to say...
But the feeling of it initially was more like what piper read, and other read...
If they just went along with it and didnt say anything, others might read it and interpret it that way, so they felt the need to make clear what is and isnt acceptable. Its the internet man, without facial expressions, pitch changes, etc...its hard to tell what a person MEANS sometimes...so you get confusion like we had here, thats all it is though, nobody has anything against you, just wanted to make sure that was could have been taken out of your message by a newb who didnt re-read it was described as the wrong thing to do...

Time to let this part of the discussion rest?

I'm letting it rest. But, FOR THE LAST TIME--I RECOMMENDED NOT FLYING WITHOUT AMA INSURANCE. That's all. Other than that, RJM didn't give enough information in his OP to make me think that the military base had any rules whatsoever--he even actually said "it's not a club at all."
Personally, I don't care what others think. I gave my opinion, which is what this board is all about. I've given my opinion over 1400 times to this board. Some agreeable, and some not. So what. I stand by what I said originally, in the context of the limited, misleading, or downright wrong information in the OP. That is how I feel.
I'm out of this thread. have a nice night, all.

Back to the original subject RJM1982. Do you think you will be able to make contact with someone whom can help you get signed off, or whatever it is you need, to fly at the site you would like to fly at?
When I look at your original post, it seemed to me you simply needed to communicate to the other fliers. I understand not every member of a club is going to be helpful, some members may even be cantankerous-curnudgeonly-critters to speak to. However, we're not all like that, some of us really enjoy helping new people.

Yeah, i think i will be able to find someone...
I re-read my post and i can see where everyone got their ideas of what i said..
The post was basically just an announcement of my return to plane (i know...who cares?) ... posted out of a newfound excitement
There are people there, and i know someone would be willing to buddy box me...now that i have my own buddy box/cord to use, it should be easier. There are a couple of guys that i know were willing, but i didnt find myself getting along with them...but i think now that i have a more open schedule, it should be easy to find some help...
