I'm new to r/c and have just bought a sig Kadet MKII. I also bought the engine at the same time. A GMS Super 2000 .47 ABC. This may be to much power, since the plane will run on a .25, but I figured that I could transfer this motor into my next plane( hopefully a Sig Kougar
). I know theres gotta be someone out there who's built a kadet mkII, and I was wondering if you have any tips
. I'm already done both halves of the wing and have epoxied them together, and am now working on the tail surfaces. I was also wondering what radio to buy, and am looking at a hitec flash 6C. Hopefully I haven't made any wrong decisions so far :spinnyeye

Just keep building and the engine will fly the plane great. There is one in our club and it has a .45 on it. Just cut back on the power after takeoff and you'll have a wonderful trainer on your hands. Let me know if there's anything else you need_bob

The mark II was my first plane. Its an easy build and flys great. I put an OS 46 FX on it. I can fly on half throttle for 20 min. The only thing i did differant was put light ply where the back of the floats attach. It flys great off water. Good luck

Hey I am building MKII also. I have it all built and sanded and next step is to cover. Still working out my trim scheme and getting nerves settled to fire up the iron. I just followed the instructions and everything has worked out pretty well. 10oz tank in the nose was a tight fit but other than that it has gone together well. Oh by the way I am using a OS 40 LA in mine so probably not quite as much power as you will have.
