I have successfully completed a C.G. Sr. Falcon. It needed some more Aileron throw and some weight in the nose. The people that took it up said it was well built. Anyway I have a C.G. Tiger 2 and a Top Flite F4U Corsair. The Tiger 2 will have a Royal .45 and the Corsair a Super Tigre G90. My question is I have heard that wing jigs work well for straight wing building. Is it worth buying and if so is there any particular manufactures I should look into. I would like the Corsair to be the perfect model.
Thanks

A wing jig won't help much with the Corsair gull wing. Use a flat building board (I use MDF in 1-1/8 thickness covered with either homasote 440 or 2x4 ceiling tile) which will serve you for many years.
MDF is medium density fiberboard and made for underlayment of plastic laminate for countertops. A 5x8 sheet weighs just under 200 lbs.
For fuselage construction the Gator RC fuse jig is the best available.

I built a wing jig from the instructions on this page.

It is simple to build and works really well. Make sure you wipe the alignment rods lightly with oil before building your wing. It makes the wing much easier to remove in the event that some glue gets onto the rods. Don't ask me how I know.
I've attached a picture of the one I made.

There is another alternative to jigs as such.
Get someone to cut the bottom surface profile (or top if the wing is built upsodown) into blocks of foam. Assemble blocks so that wing can be built. Store carefully for the inevitable rebuilds...
Glue foam to 1/2"ply if the foam is thin
