Does anybody know any good hobby shops in the Melbourne (Australia not Florida
) area? I know there are a few in the city but is that all? Also, are there any hobby websites with prices in Aussie dollars that deliver to Melb? Thanks

Try
Radio Model Supplies in Albany Hwy Vic Park Perth. (Do a search for that site)
They have an excellent website and you can purchase online. I just brought a heap of stuff and it arrived the next day via air express. (Im in Wa though, it may take sightly longer to send over east)
Regards,
Troy.

Welcome to the world of RC, where in Melb are you??
to start with IMHO the best plase for beginers (and not so beginers) is www.spadtothebone.com go and visit it and it will save you hundreds or $$$$ in the first year.
i buy some of my gear on line at www.radiomodels.com it is the cheapest place for radio gear in Aus but as it's in WA you need to be spending probably $150 to make the postage worth it.
in Melb my first choice is ADDIES hobbies in Carrum, good prices and good advice, i'm going there this morning to buy some new battery packs.
also Peninsula models in Mornington have good prices especialy on ARF planes, talk to Nick he's the shop Guru on planes.
another one is Models and hobbies 4U up Springvale road, good selection but dont expect advice and double check the pricing there not always cheap.
if your on the other side of town rogers radio in Geelong is reasonably priced but you have to know what you want as he orders most stuff in.
i've also heard Niddrie hobbies are OK but i've never dealt with them.
you can also try Saturn hobbies (moorabin/ highet? way, up north road and round the corner) good selection of built up kits and reasonable advice but have the cheque book handy.
if all that fails e-mail me or give me a call on 0418376855 i'll be glad to help.
if you live out Cranny, Pakenham way (or further if you dont mind the drive) you'll be welcome at our club.
oops forgot one.
the hobby man in Dandenong, mostly cars but the do have a plane section and i think they ave a plane bloke working late night shopping times and Sat morning
