Default Eagle II trainer engine mount problem!

Hi,

I'm building a Carl Goldberg Eagle II trainer.... The problem I have run into is mounting the engine on the break away plate. Goldberg use's a break away plate for the engine mounting. I assume its so that a newbie can get the right thrust with no problems. The problem I'm having mounting a OS 40 FX. It can not sit back far enough in the plate so that the spinner is 1/8th from the front of the break away plate. If I sand it open to fit the engine will I throw off the right thrust to much?

Thank you in advance for your help and for reading this post!

Hey Joey
Im getting ready to finish up this same kit. Watch out for the servo tray in it. The guys that are helping build it said to just build some legs to support the front of the tray. Cant believe they just want us to slide that tray in an 1/8" and that's all that holds it.
How far along are you with the build?

Randy
