I want to build a plane with 2 engines like a old b42 style. I want to know how to go about biulding it. and how much it will cost and the load it can carry.

The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) has an annual lift contest for students. They build planes specifically for payload and a specific flight path. You might want to check with them on the student competition results.

The planes they design are of little interest to most folks who frequent these forums. We're interested in building, or our flying, and not so much in adding weight to our models.

If I translate this correctly, you mean, "I want to make a dual engine bomber-style plane. What is the best way to do this and how much of a load can they carry? Cost has to be high, too. Right?"

If that's correct, then the answers to your questions are:

1. The best way is to buy a kit of the model you want to build, then build it.
2. You can increase the load until it can no longer fly. Then you have a dual engine bomber-style car.
3. Yes, cost will be high.

Do you want it to look like a real airplane? and...do you want to be able to drop dummy bombs?

If so, look in the scale forums for more information. Also, have you ever flown RC airplanes? A twin-engine warbird might be a bit out of your league for the time being.

Just from reading your questions, I would guess that you are a bit new to this stuff, but I could be wrong.

1. It will be very expensive
2. It will be very big.

10-15 lbs could be done, but you are talking about a pretty expensive proposition. I have heard of a Kadet Senior, (kit built), that lifted 14 lbs, and I have seen some pretty impressive 'lift-planes' designed especially for lifting, but dropping that much weight will significantly alter your CG and likely make the plane un-flyable for a beginner.

Now you're really in trouble. The only reference I find to a B-42 is a single rear engine plane with counter-rotating props. To put another engine on this plane would not be scale.

It would probably cost in the area of $1000.00+ for the plane and the Heli would be much-much more. And both will crash on the first flight if you have no experience in these type of models. PERIOD.
So what grade are you in? High school yet? Fat bank account?

No, its actually a 4-engined high-wing, long range, heavy bomber.

The B-25 and B-26, however, are twin-engined medium bombers.

the guys obviously clueless about the hobby. no offense but it kinda sad people won't just come out and say. I don't know anything about models can I get the biggest baddest thing I can think of

the heli you want to build is gonna cost you about 5-6 grand
the twin bomb you want to build to lift the kind of weight you wanna lift is gonna cost at least 6 grand more like 10

either one you'd better learn how to fly first, the if that guy can do I can do it I can do it just doesn't work in this hobby. it is learned. get a trainer and join a club and go through the motions of learning to fly, after 3-4 years of flying and 4-5 single engine kits you might be able to think about taking a project like this on

I have another questono though how far can you get your plane to go before your transmition goes out of range. can you get them to go over a mile. Not that you could see it but it would be cool. As far as distance, if you cannot see it you cannot control it. Flying beyond the line of sight has potential legal issues.
