I just finished mounting the servos last night so my next step it to try and get the throttle hooked up.
Just looking at it it seems that in order for the linkage to run through the tube that's supplied in the plane next to the fuel tank I would have to drill a hole through the engine mount. I have an OS .46 for mine as well so I could give your bending idea a try.
I'm not sure about the flying characteristics of the plane so the knife edge problem would be knew to me.
