In a recent post fliers 1 told me I Could come down to the states to earn my wings due to the fact that I'm having some trouble getting flying time in at my club(club issues with learning). Fliers 1 said he could help me earn my wings in the U.S. but I live in canada, would there be any contreversy at my club if I show up in 2 weeks with my wings and just start flying and the instructors havn't seen me solo yet, currently I'm a good flyer for the amount of stick time I have(in case anyone is wondering).

The way I read the MAAC stuff, you need to have a MAAC instructor present when you do your Wings A test. Its pretty straight forward, takeoff, figure 8, recangular circuit and then land under power, if I'm not mistaken. You're MAAC insurance covers you in the states at an AMA field though.

You may be better off posting this question in the MAAC forum, and reading the articles on the maac.ca website.

Here in the states, we don't even get wings. We just have to have insurance.
Anyone can fly here. Even the guy without arms or legs.
