Default OS FX and AX engine confusion

I am confused to the difference of the OS FX and AX series, come to think of it I can’t find FXi “Nexstar” either. What is the basic difference of these engines??.
I have a H9 Pulse xt 40 and I am looking for an engine for it.

Thanks!! in advance!!

The fx is no longer in production - it was replaced by the ax which is sold many places. I believe the fxi is only available when it comes in the Nextar RTF Trainer package.

Delman is right, they stopped making the fx and the fxi is a Nexstar exclusive.

The AX is the FX replacement. The FX was by all accounts a very good engine.

I have the .46AX. I found it very reliable and would recommend it. Apparently it is slightly more expensive than some of the competition though.

The FXi is essentially an AX as far as I could findout, the parts look to be the same.

AX is the replacement for the FX.

I believe this is incorrect. The FXi is basically an FX and many of the parts will interchange. Biggest difference between AX and FXI is the number of head bolts.

After spending the morning trying to find a needle valve holder, it seems indeed I was wrong. What appears to be the same remote needle as the .46AX isn't. The FXi uses the 65LA's needle valve holder.

Talk about making parts shopping fun.....
