Hello all, and Happy 4th
Had to let you know that I just completed my first build in more than 30 years. A Dynaflight Butterfly for my wife to learn with. The maiden flight was yesterday after inspection and blessings from our instructor. He took it off and the wife flew it with ease. What a great trainer this plane is. I hope that my wife becomes as addicted as I have (I am still in training myself).
This plane was an easy build and is a great flier. My only problem with the build was the TowerKote covering. I sure did waste alot of this stuff, even after watching the videos and all of the reading here on RCU. But, eventualy it all came out and I am very proud of my first build and can't wait to start another. To start with a box of sticks and end up with a flying plane feels like quite an accomplishment. Here are a couple of pics.

Looks good and the covering gets a little easier after a while. I've had a couple Butterflies and like them a lot. I did find out that you have to be carefull how you fly them as the older ones had a bad habit of folding the wings if you pull out a little to hard.
I never really had the problem as I reinforced the wings. Good job and Good Luck. ENJOY !!! RED
