A fellow flyer went over my plane with me and got some epoxy into the landing gear strut hole, and then he put the gear struts in. He got them in backwards, and I need to remove them. What will dissolve the epoxy so that I can pull the landing gear strut back out??

Heat is the only thing that is going to get the epoxy to let loose. Heat the area with a heat gun and pull on the landing gear as you heat it until it comes out. Another thing you can try is using a soldering iron (or small butane torch) to heat up the landing gear itself, and pulling the gear as it heats up. Just be careful as you do this is it's probably going to take a fair amount of heat to get it come loose depending on how well they are glued in.
Good luck, hope this helps

the plane is a PTS p51. We did fly the plane with gear in backwards like this, but it is very tippy on the ground (nose tip) any bump wants to make it tip. So I would like to put them back in correctly like I had them before the guy changed them. I will try a soldering iron.
