Questions are this:

Has a 10oz klunk tank/ 2oz slec tank
And needle valve settings please..
Thanks for your help, any questions please ask.

Hi,
Your mate will need about a 11X6 or 11X7 size prop for that engine.
An Enya no.3 or OS no.8 glow plug are both good all round plugs, most (I know including me) prefer the Enya
Needle valve settings in the region of about 3 turns open from fully closed to start off with.
Fuel is personal preference, a good one to start off with (which I have been using all the time with no problems) is Model Technics Irvine 5% Sport Mix which is Red in colour. - About £13.50 a Gallon
Not sure what you mean about the two different tanks ? - what do you want to know ?
Hope the rest of it helps. [sm=thumbup.gif]

I'm not trying to be rude;
- BUT-
These are great questions for a new person to ask - however - they are best answered in person by a local instructor... [
]
There are hundreds of simple basic questions about this hobby that require immediate attention - this forum will get the information that you need - but it will take time and some of the answers don't make much sense unless you can see it being done (like tuning an engine). [&o]
My first piece of advice would be to find a local club, introduce yourself to their chief instructor and follow his lead.
Good Luck!

It sounds like he has a 10 oz main tank and may be using a 2 oz tank as a header tank. Why he would have a header tank is anyones guess. Not that common in prop airplanes.

They use them in jets and if the main tank is a long way from the carb. They're also a good way to keep bubbles out of the fuel line. I think this is one of the main reasons jets use them. Bubble=flameout.

Yeh, I knew the jets used them for that reason, but thought you just meant the conventional engined types of which I had not seen them used in before.
Oh well, you learn something new every day

Think of a large pusher prop plane with the main tank mounted at the CG. Put a small header tank near the engine and I think engine reliability will improve. Better yet would be to run an engine with a pump.

I know some of the new OS 4 strokes now come pumped, but I don't know if they have a seperate pump or if they come built-in ?
Anyway, I've always had reliable engine set ups, of the 2 & 4 stroke type (so far), so haven't needed anything extra to help luckily.
