Default Need advice on Fuel fill adapter

Hi Gang,
I have a trainer here RTF.
Flies well and no problems.
I have to remove the line from the carb to fill the tank.
A real PITA!!!
I see where they have an adapter to install and comes with a check valve so you don't pump fuel into the carb.
The fuel tank is glued in place and I can't see cutting up the top or the side to install a small fitting with a nipple on it.
Has anyone ever installed one of these on a Super Star Select 40?
If I could remove the fuel tank then I can just run my own fill tube then cap it.
Any tips,suggestions

somthing like this would be good for you

it goes on the fuel line in between the carb and the tank. just mount it to a fuse panel outside the craft. just make sure it stays clean. some dirt in the filler will start to leak (this is the number one complaint about these and it is almost always dirt inside the seal.)

Hi Unstable,
Thanks for the info.
Thats just what I need.
I just looked and think I can fit that between the left side of the fuse and splice my valve between the tank and engine.
As for filters I have on on my fill pump and one right on the fuel line.
Many thanks for the suggestion

Dont waste your time. Just cut the line and use a short piece of tube to couple them. Easier to get at than the carb on some planes. Run a loop up where its easy to get at and put the coupler there. I've had many fuelers and had nothing but greif. They leak back to the carb and fuel runs everywhere. Not every time, but every now and then. I flip out if it happens 1 time in the course of a day, however, I was never that lucky. 4 out of 6 was more my luck so I said goodby to fuelers. I'll run a loop of fuel line with a coupler in it outside of the cowl of a plane every time. By the way, a fuel filter makes a great coupler. Do this and all your fuel will go where you want it every time. On 2 strokes, I remove pressure hose from muffler and run it into small bottle while fueling. When the bottle gets half full, I suck it back into the jug just like draining the plane. At $15.00 a gallon or more, I don't wast a drop.

OK,
I did get a lot of bad feed back on that filler fitting so i'll go with you Guys.
GEE!!.
20 years ago almost every hobby store had COX engines,1 quart of fuel and a $5.00 kit.
Now I see some kits cost more then my car LOL
But flying is more fun then driving untill that one stick won't work and the plane at 500 feet decides to become a gravity tester
No problem.
