ok everyone, i have an aerobird challenger. and its very hard to fly in texas wind. i was told that size, weight and motor power make all the difference in the wind. im leaning twards a glow plane but a powerful electric (if it works well in wind) will be ok too. any suggestions on a reasonably priced glow trainer plane or trainer electric that performs well
thanks in advance

Hobbico Sturdy Birdy. I learned on one teaching myself and it loves the wind. Once you get good you can practically hover it in a steady 10-15mph wind. With an OS LA .40 on it, it has plenty of power and won't upset allot of people because it is quiet.,

I've developed a list of beginner's glow planes that would be a good place to look for a plane. I've posted that list at the top of the Beginner's Forum thread list. But you can find that list here[link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_4537845/tm.htm]Looking for a trainer, what's available. (Updated 8-2-06)[/link]
All of the planes on this list should fit what you are looking for.
Hope this helps

Hey, don't count out the Sig LT-40. One of the best trainers out there, and does well in the wind (at least that's my personal experience). This is a good trainer that you'll end up having fun with even after your flying the extra 300's and bipes.
