Hello. I'm interested in the Polk's Tracker III radio and searched the threads about it, however I can not find an answer to my question. I have many Airtronics servos and receivers, and I was wondering if this Polk's radio will be compatible with my airtronics 92765 (Dual conversion narrow band) receivers. Will appreciate your answers. Thanks.

rinoldi,
From their ad.
So the simple answer is yes, it will work with your receiver.

The Tracker III will operate that receiver. However...
Channel assignments are not identical to Airtronics. If the receiver is in the plane, with all the servos plugged in, you will have to unplug them and put them in the slots that work correctly with the Tracker III transmitter.
I'm operating a JR receiver, an Airtronics receiver, and HiTec & Futaba FM receivers with my Tracker III. It won't operate an AM receiver (and I do have two old Airtronics AM receivers.)
Best wishes,
Dave Olson

RVman is correct... And you can upgrade the first version to do the same for free
The two members that have the 1st and 2nd version of the radio like them... But
for now for me there is to much that could cause a problem??? among other things.

Can the Tracker III be used with glow planes? We fly at a LARGE field, but I also fly at a smaller electric field. I'm looking for a radio that will do both, and is EASY to program.

Since the last post on this forum was in Aug 2006, Are any Tracker III owners having any trouble with the system.
I'm having all kinds of problems with mine. It worked fine for about a year but it's spent most of it's time at the
repair shop since then. I've sent it back three (3) times for repair and it still doesn't work properly.
They've replaced (according to the invoice) the Gibal, the rf module twice, and upgraded the software three times.
It still doesn't work as it will not pass a range check, and I get a lot of fluttering control surfaces. Two of my three recievers
will not take a proper set, etc.

Mine's working fine. There's an oddity, the "G" label switch wants to insert an elevator offset, in the up or down position. I check the elevator before each flight, and make sure there's no offset, and if there is, I put the 3-position "G" switch in the middle. Other than that, mine has no quirks.
In an earlier post (post 5 in this thread) I mentioned the receiver choice. They have changed the new programming, and I can select an Airtronics receiver with the software. Then the channels will align. This is handy, I can fly my big Corsair with the old Airtronics VG transmitter, or with the Tracker III, without touching the receiver to reorient servo plugins.
Best wishes,
Dave Olson

My stepfather has one that seems to work good. He has had it for about a year. He is still training and I buddy boxed him the other day with it.
You couldn't sell me one! It is uncomfortable in my hands. The trainer switch is in about the most inconvienient location. Other than that is is fine.
