Probably want a 7 X 4 for break in and then something 1" less diameter if you want or need more speed.

I may be missing it, but I didn't see where sunkist said he was a flying control line plane....just that he had a control line engine. I used to to fly a little handlaunched glider with a control line engine. Just fire it up and toss it away.

I used mostly APC 7 x 4 props on a Cox .09 engine. Cox also made a 7 x 3.5 grey prop that worked fairly well.

Thank you, Cheif Invertigator Erik. I figured it wouldn't fly well without an airframe behind it. Same prop pretty much, maybe opt for 8" if it's a big model with lots of drag.

Free-flight! That's even better. I used to build rubber-motored free flight models, but when It came to the investment of an engine I wanted it on the end of strings so I could get it back. My neighborhood field had a river on one side and a busy highway on the other.

My recommendation is to put them both away and buy a trainer and R/C engine. Trying to fly an advanced plane with an engine that has no throttle is a challenge for an experienced flier. For a beginner, it's a clear path to failure. Save the plane for after you've got more experience.
