I am sure this topic is somewhere in this forum, but i searched through at least 7 pages worth and could not find it anywhere.
I have a Hobbico Superstar MKII Select I have heard rumors of using epoxy to join the wings and stabilizer section for added strength... Is this a good idea or not ? If so what should be epoxied? is it something that doesn't really matter or will it be a big help? any advice is appreciated.

You would want to add some epoxy to the root-ribs of the wings and then install them as the manual suggests. The Epoxy will do about the same thing that the metal straps do - That is, it will hold the two wing-halves together.
For the tail, have the stab in place, and draw a line on both sides of the fuse (Top and bottom - using the fuse as a straight-edge). Remove the Stab and cut away the covering about 1/8" inside the lines you just drew (Being careful not to cut too deeply into the wood). Remove the covering and epoxy the stab back in place (NOTE: Use 30-minute epoxy. You will need time to get all of this done and alligned before the epoxy sets)
Now add some epoxy to the tab on the bottom of the Fin and continue to install it as per the instructions.

dragline322,
Be sure and use 30 minute epoxy. My experience has been that the 5 minute epoxy doesn't form as tight a bond as the 30 minute type.
