I'm using the normal black composite of some kind props. What kind of paint to you use to get the tips white? What kind of paint will stick without ending up being a glob throwing off the performance of the prop? Being new to the hobby, I like being able to see that prop spin while I'm starting it up.
And by the way, thanks to all of you for your input. After researching on here I ended up getting a Sig Kadet Senior with an OS46 and a Futaba 7cap. Everything works great! Easy to fly and gentle landings and take offs. Allready dreaming about stepping up to a four * 60, but I'm smart enough to wait. Maybe this summer, yeaha, DEFINATELY this summer!
Joined a club and worked with an instructor and soloed on my fourth day. Several flights, about 3/4 or a gallon of fuel. Took off and landed about 3 times on one tank with no re-starting. I'm not done training, but its great to put a full flight together. Love the plane and the radio. Engine has be no hassle at all. Great hobby!

I love to paint the tips of my props white. I even enjoy doing a mid blade white stripe as well. I use a paint stick pen. You could mask and spay it too. It does beggin to come off after a while. I just touch it up when I feel like it.

I use Testors paint and brush it on. After I'm done I clear coat it with lustercoat. Then I balance it by adding more clear to the rear of blade that is light until it balances. This is really only good on tail-draggers. If you have a nose gear the grass will eventually wear the clear and paint off making it out of balance. I converted my Sig Senior to a tail-dragger when I built it and the prop doesn't get even close to the grass.

I use florescent green Testors model paint for coloring the light end of my plastic props. I find adding paint to the light side is easier than trying to shave down the heavy side, and adding visibility to the prop at the same time is a bonus. The paint chips off after a short while, but most of it stays on for balance and visibility purposes so I don't sweat the cosmetic degredation of chipped paint.

I make a pencil mark from the tip, and dip the prop that deep into a can of white rustoleum. Pull the prop out, and let it finish dripping, flip it over, and do the other tip.
