Default Pull \ Pull Elevator control or direct servo hookup?

Help!!!
I have a Sig Rascal 110 with a Supertigre 3250 with larger tires for Grassfarm Field, I am slightly nose heavy. I can add 6 oz. of weight to rear stab. but would rather relocate my elevator servo if this makes more sense. Right now my elevator is using the pull-pull cables with the servo [hi-torque] mounted about 2 feet from the elevator. This plane has a cutout in the aft area for direct servo to elevator hookup, but with the throw range and size of elevator, I don't know if this is as safe or as strong as the 4-40 pull cables. Please pass on your thoughts or opinions of these choices.

First of all, how heavy is slightly nose heavy? If it slightly dips when picked up by the CG point on the wings, then leave it alone. That is, of course, unless you intend to use it for 3D. Then someone else can give you advice because I don't do 3D.

As for relocating the servo, you will have to construct a mounting platform of some sort, that involves some minor weight, but remember that adding an ounce to the rear of the plane will require about 8 ounces of noseweight to compensate, depending on the length of the fuselage from the CG aft. Be careful changing this design. 6 ounces is an awful lot of weight to be adding to the tail of any aircraft. As I said above, a very small increase in tail weight translates to a large change in noseweight compensation.

If it flys good, does what you want it to do, then... "if it ain't broke, then don't fix it!"

I'd move the battery back and move the servo aft before adding any weight. 6 ounces is a lot of weight. Is it an oversized engine?

Engine slighly oversize, but biggest gain is about 8 oz. due to larger wheels. Plane has 110" wingspan, so not really overloaded on weight. Battery already toward the back and the reinforced cutout is already there at the rear for a servo, but not sure if single 4-40 rod will control elevator, without flexing badly.

If your worried than use two ELEV servos. Put one on each side of the fuse and be done with it.

David:
That's a good idea, but the other side has one over there for the rudder control.
