I use tower and Hobby People . If you are looking for hanger 9 stuff or anything distributed by horizon then you can try Horizon Hobby If there is something specific you are looking for then ask and maybe somebody can tell you where to get the best price on it.

Default Central Hobby out of Billings Montana

I ordered several hard to find parts through Central and they were great. (dual bell-crank)

This is also my brothers LHS and he loves them.

Ok, I'm a newbie to RC and I checked out the Quantem Models site and saw an Airtronics VG400 4 Channel and it comes with Buddy Box Trainer System, Servo Reversing, Throttle End Point Adjustment, Ratcheted Trims and Adjustable Length Transmitter Sticks. Specs: 4 Channels, 4 102Z Servos, Super Narrow Band Dual Conversion Micro Light Weight 7 Channel Receiver, Receiver & Transmitter Nicad Batteries, Charger, Trays & Hardware. It sells for $119.99. I realize you get what you pay for, but I was thinkin that this would at least get my foot in the door to flyin, and then when I want to get a better plane, I can purchase a better radio, possibly a 6 channel computer, but for now would this suffice?

thanks,
Ben

That is pretty much what I recommend to new flyers. If you decide you need a computer radio, the flight pack you get with the VG 400 is the same as the one that comes with an RD6000 or RD 8000. Actually, I am going to order one of these from quantuum myself, because the $119 price is actually cheaper than buying a second flight pack and extra transmitter battery for my RD 6000.

It's only good if Airtronics is used at your field. The trainer connection is no good if the club has buddy boxes of another brand. Before you choose a radio talk to someone in a club you are joining.

I have no problem with Tower Hobbies, they got a RD6000 radio to me all the down in New Zealand in only 6 days
Not too bad.

Quantummodels.com and Horizonhobby.com have really gone out of there way to find parts for me in the past. Their customer service is outstanding IMO.
