Tower has a pretty good deal on the Airtronics VG400 with the submicro 94091 servos--about the same price as a micro flight pack. The little 10gram servos are plenty torquey for a Rascal, and normally you gotta pay alot to get them.

on what you want to do, stick to electrics or maybe go on to glow powered airplanes or helicopters. If you want to stic to electrics, a four channel will do fine. If you know that your going to eventually get into a little bigger models, your best bet is to spend a few extra bucks and get a 6 channel radio. My first plane was an electric, but I knew that I was in love with this hobby, and I wish I would have bought a 6 channel or above when I started.

I just got a futaba 6 channel computer radio for a reasonable price from tower hobbies. around 220 with everthing. It's great. has 5 or 6 model memory, tons of functions, and has all the computer stuff needed for helicopters. If you fly more than one plane go with a computer radio, it will save servo reversing and has trim memory. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...I=LXXD46**&P=7
