Looks like you get to be the first, paulino966! Report back once you get your plane and let us know how your first flights go.

Welcome to the hobby; I'm sure you'll quickly become a rabid r/c flying addict like the rest of us

It would apear that as you say you are new to flying you have picked a poor type to learn on.A jet should be at least four or five planes down the line with a trainer as your first.

Jet planes are quite easy to fly. Just give the plane full throttle and some elevator.

What you bought is more of a toy than anything else.

It has two channel operation, that gives you throttle - increase throttle you rise, decrease you fall, and rudder to turn. Your control is really only on one acis. This will be a fun little toy for a while, do not fly it near any trees, or in any kind of wind. You will not have much control on the single axis.

You may soon find it is not realy enough for you and you will look at a glow trainer - this is how I got started. Once you find out how much more control you have on a more advance model you will wonder why you bought that little two channel job in the first place.

Good luck and have fun with it.

manks

I've put together a list of planes that make good trainers. All of them on the list are proven planes that are well suited for successfully letting studends learn to fly. Check out the list here

Hope this helps

I haven't personally flown the Megatech A7 that you ordered, paulino966, but it could turn out to be a decent flyer. The plane will rely on throttle control to handle altitude adjustments and the other stick will control left/right flight with the rudder.

Hopefully Megatech put a decent power system in the plane, and it will be able to pull itself around well. It's not the cheapest plane on the market, so I'm optimistic that it could fly well for you.

Also, don't worry about "if" you'll crash. You will. We all have, it's just part of the fun of the hobby.

Again, I'd love to hear how you do with the A7. Post back here once you get a chance to throw it around!
