Default 2 stroke or 4 stroke

I hope someone has some insight on this. I am getting into my first 3D airplane.
A giles 202 72". I believe the manufacturer is flyboys and is calling out for a 2C 1.08 - 1.5, or a 4C 1.2 - 1.82.
Can anyone recommend if two stroke would be o.k. or should I go with the 4 stroke?

Go witha 25 - 38 cc Gasser

It will be easier, and burn way less expensive fuel.

Go with the two stroke.
Keep the RPM up and you will love it.

I agree with manks. Big glow engines burn a ton of gas, and that gas costs 15 bucks a gallon. Some people at my field with big glows get only 4 flights on a gallon. To expensive IMO

Tune a 4 stroker right and give it time to break in and you will get way more than 4 flight on them per gallon. A gasser would be cool to but you have to look at the weight of the gasser I do not have a gasser so I can not really speak on them, and I am the type of person that if you have not done or messed with it do not speak on it.... The two stroke should be fine too. Pretty much try to get and engine that is in the higher markings of what the manf. recommends and you will be fine. And yes glow fuel is to D...n High! Some gasser to cost more but from what I have seen at the field some people fly off of 5 dollars of gas and oil mix for a long time, and it does not get your plane oily.

I'm with Manx and Cambo on this.

My engine size preferance is:

10 - 55, I use a 2-stroke

70 - 120, 4-stroke

Above 120, Gas

get a saito (if you want to use nitro) I love mine. they are VERY reliable. Ive never had a dead stick. the gas will get a little expensive though. so maby you should look into a lightweight gasser

If it was me, I would put a Saito 180 in her and run it on 10% fuel. It will run fine, fuel is not to expensive at that nitro level and a Saito 180 is going to be nice and lite. Put a Kline regulator on it as well so you can run your tank on the CG.
