This rocks... This is the coolest hobby ever... Second day out at the field. Weather was beautiful. Slight wind....nice and sunny. Sunday I was taken up by two of our instructors, flew some figure 8s, high altitude landing patterns and a few loops. Totally cool.
Then went out after work today. Went for two flights with a couple of junior instructors till Steve arrived. He took me up and we flew a few more patterns, then I took off all by myself, flew around...did a couple of low flybys, one inadvertant touch-and-go and my first wheels down landing....Steve says "a little more power to keep your altitude"... i said..."no more altitude...the engines not running anymore"....GREASED my first landing...and a deadstick....VERY GOOD instructor. Flew around a bunch more. Four or five more greasy landings and one broken propeller...oops. A little too much glide path on that one. If anyone sees a blade from an EVO PTS could you send it over...Checked for FOD at the end of the day and am still missing one. Can't wait to get out again and get some more practice. Time to go buy another can of fuel now...and some more spare propellers....
