Ok I am waiting on my Alfa mig 15 and thinking about putting a thin coating of fiberglass resin on the bottom of the fuse to protect it in the long run. I am going to use a Himaxx 2025-5300 and a 2000 3 cell lipo in this plane and wondering if a very thin layer would be ok to help make it stronger.

I am waiting for mine as well!
Would glassing the bottom add too much weight ?
Or change the flight charactoristics?
Seems like a good idea.....just not sure about the added weight.

I just watched the video of that plane flying... Looks nice. I wouldn't add anny weight to this plane and refuse to fly it where I did not have a well gromed grass landing strip.

See Bob Benjamin's article in the July 2007 Flying Models in which he glasses the entire Mig and even adds retracts. Plenty of detail on the techniques used.
