I fly a lot so when I got a modern computer radio with one of these large LCD screens I fitted an 1800mah NiMh pack to replace the standard pack.
I had had the low battery alarm go off on the tranny before with the Nicad pack and new that I had 2 or 3 minutes at least to land before shut down.
The NiMh pack gives about 70 seconds between alarm and shut down. Just landed when the failsafe kicked in.
