Default engine mount repairs

Trainer plane went into Mother Earth in an inverted state. Prop broke and the force tried to bust wooden engine mount on my ARF. Have included pictures of the damage (not really severe I don't think). What method or methods would one take to repair this mount area for further flights. Engine is a TT Pro 46 on a Global Right Flyer ARF trainer. Thanks.

Cut strips of 1/8' ply same width as your bearers. Glue with epoxy to the underside of each bearer and against fuselage side (clamp good and tight while the glue dries). Drill your bolt holes through again from the top, job done.

Use some white spirit, turps or whatever you have to get any oil and fuel residue out of the gluing area first.

Default Additional Info

The ply looks more like it has been stressed really bad, not really broken. But that is the view of a newbie. Firewall itself was repaired when front LG broke off on really bad landing attempt. Firewall is very solid piece of ply (3/4 inch thick).

Yes, that's how it looked from the pic. Your new pieces of ply will reinforce rather than replace the existing pieces.

I would just straighten the mounts with a pair of pliers and then epoxy some triangle stock to it, and the sides (after cleaning them).

I would either do like Mike stated, or cut them out and put a great planes mount on the firewall.

Im a C A freak. I would line it all up and glue the heck outta it. Done in 5 minutes, and will be fine.

I would do as Mike and Simon, then use the wheels and not the nose of the plane to land, think that is on page # 1 of the landing trainer manual.
