Hello all,
I am very new to flying RC planes and recently bought a RTF piper cub the cheap foamy one. LOL . Anyway I took off and it went up in the air fine then I must have had a "dead stick" in my mind because I locked up thinking in to many diff directions at once. The plane went down but I fixed it and its ready to fly again. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
I just got a CMP F4U Corsair50 and I got an O.S. .40 engine for it. I'm wondering is this a good engine for the plane? Will this engine work with this plane? I know I'm not ready to fly this one yet that's why I'm just gonna take my sweet time with the build. I have everything except the radio for the plane. What radio would you guy's reccomend? Again any pointer's,tip's and help with this is greatly appreciated. Thank you .

Which OS 40? If it is one of the early 40 FPs or a 40 LA IMHO definitely not. I get asked to test fly quite a number of models and I just hate babying something like this into the air with marginal power.
I would want an OS 46 FX at minimum for this.

What is the size and weight of the Corsair (AKA CrashAir)? <--- This is your hint to pack this plane up and put it in the closet, get a 40 size trainer such as this

or this if you want everything

Then go out get with a local club and an instructor.
Not doing so will result in the same fate for you F4U as you lil Cub even if you master flying that Cub first.
Blunt and straight forward but I mean you no disrespect. Flying R/C planes is a learned skill and while you can learn on your own it's a lot less expensive with an instructor.
Good luck, have fun, don't quit!

No disrespect taken. That's what I was looking for. Someone to tell me straight up how it is. Thank you for your time and help. I will definantley build it and let it sit around looking pretty.
