i was thinking of what my next plane will be (ill be building it) and im not sure weather to go hi, mid or low wing? [&:]
my prefernce would be high wing and if i go high wing the design will be similar to a cessna/trainer...
but i was wondering how aerobatic is this design (not very i guess and it also depends on the powerplant) but would it allow for rolls, loops etc and maybe vertical with proper power to weight ratio?
would inverted flight be any different to a low/mid winged plane?
any comments welcome

if your new to the hobby i suggest High-wing, these tend to be more stable and more forgiving if you make a mistake, and ive seen my instructor do rolls with my high wing, and loops, with a good engine i cant see any reason why it wouldnt be semi-aerobatic
one thing to note, most trainers are dihedral winged (the wing is bent in the middle) and these dont like flying inverted

If you're interested in building a kit of a high wing aerobat, there should be plenty of good choices. Just search around for Citabria, Super Decathlon, or Clipped Wing Cub kits to get started. They should be available in a wide variety of sizes, and are a blast to fly.
Of course, if you meant build an ARF when you said you were going to build your next plane, well that just increases your various options.
Good luck and good shopping!

ill probally go for a high wing seeing as they are aerobatic enough for me at this point in time
and because i dont really want to be too "on my toes" while flying it - ive had a bad experiance with a mid wing and it just ended up being a waste of time and my money[:@]; unless anyone here knows of mid/low wing that is very stable[&:]? then i might lean to that direction..

When you say next plane I am assuming you're flying a trainer now. If that's the case then you'll quickly out grow another high wing.
A great 2nd plane kit would be a 4 star 60, by SIG.
You say you had a bad experience with a mid wing, I am wondering do you have an instructor? If not then learning to fly will be frustrating and expensive.
I see you're from the land down under, if you dont have anyone around to help you then get a sim and practice when you think you can fly practice some more. perhaps you can hook up with an instructor if even for a few hours, perhaps you could make a week end out of it.
I wish you the best of luck

You might want to take a look at the Thunder Tiger Tiger Stick .40 ARF. It's a shoulder wing sport plane that can be slowed down and landed as gently as most any trainer, yet it has the control surfaces for fun, acrobatic flying:

Phoenix Models makes a nice stable low wing trainer called the Dolphin .40 that would also be worth looking into:

okay, thanks for the help guys.
those planes ^^^ look interesting and somthing along the lines of what i was after
as for teh instructor there inst much in my area and the "nearest club" is an hours drive away [:'(] so im kinda of left on my own - any the only "sim" experiance ive had is with microsoft combat simulator just for fun
And that bad experiance i had before was with a ARF extrafun xl by modelengines - it had a dodgey motor which i didnt know until it was too late, slowly was burning out, not enough speed/lift o when i even tried basic things like steering with the rudder it banked extermly quick /sharp and nose dived - few more attempts at tryign to get it to fly and then the motor was stuffed.
Anyway, im going to research those planes now a bit more ( the dolphin and the tiger stick).
Thanks for the advice
