Hi. I looking at some DX7 packages on Ebay. What's the difference between the Heli package and the Airplane versions. Are the radios exactly the same with different servos?

The heli has the smooth throttle action, airplane has the clicker ratchet.
Also the top switches are located differently on most heli radios, not sure if its true of the DX or not. Usually the 3 position is on the left on the heli version and the right on the airplane version.
Software is identical.

I have a DX7 i couldn't find anywhere in the box or the manual what version i had. Since mine clicks it has to be an airplane version but the 3 position is on the left.

I wasn't sure about the DX7, they may have just succumbed to the fact we prefer our 3 pos switch on the left and its probably easier to produce one version, I'm surprised Futaba and JR havent followed suit, it makes no difference for flying planes.
The only other difference that I know if is when you open a new model memory the H version defaults to a helicopter model type and the A version defaults to airplanes.
Also I understand that the radio ships with both parts for the clicker and smooth throttle.

Where the 3 position switch is located is determined by the mode, mode 1 has the 3 position switch on the right, I have one on mode 1, & it is the heli version.
