i just fired up my alpha .60 a while ago for the first time and it was a little rough. the first time i started it it idled really rough and when ever i tries to rev it up it would start to die and it would make a clicking noise. it eventually started to run good but after i tried to start it again the same thing happened again. is this normal? and is a lot of oil in coming out of exaust normal? i know there should be some but at about half throttle it pretty much pours out.

without being there it sounds like it is running very rich. that is not a bad thing for a brand new motor on it's first run. the clicking I am assuming is after you run it and turning the prop by hand? If so that could be normal on a new engine as well. the best advice I can give you is to get with your instructor before you go any further.

the engine is a evolution .61nt. and the clicking noise is only when i rev it up and then it starts to die. and when idle it sounds kinda sad. It may be running rich but it sometimes runs fine without any problems that i can see. the oil may be because it is running rich but i don't know much.
